Mine only had me as a recipient... Another friend of minds did not receive his yesterday as well... I assume they will continue to flow in today.

They're clearly staggered releases bc I also know someone who received the email yesterday...learn from me and save yourself the grey hairs, your email is on its way.

mine had "Dorothy B***D" (dont know if its ok to post last names) in both the "to" and "from" field.

i realize how ridiculous this all sounds. (questioning the timing, and who the email is addressed to)

I got an email with a letter attached from the Third Department without any other attachments.
The letter was called Letter to July Applicants, and the email was sent Aug 26th.

Anyone else from the third dept get anything similar?

I got an email saying this: "Attached please find a letter from the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department, regarding the process for applying for admission to the New York Bar. If you have any problems opening the attachment, please contact the Third Department’s Attorney Admissions Office for assistance (http://www.nycourts.gov/ad3/Admissions)."

But I received the email about a month ago. Not sure why I received this from the 3rd department as I live in Manhattan and previously lived out of state.

Where do you work? Do you have any reason to believe that there might be substance behind this speculation? Are these people connected to anyone in the know?

The earliest they were ever released was last years October 27th. That would be some difference!

I also feel it will be released earlier than before, because I have heard less people sat for this bar... But next week may be a bit early... From Monday the 19th on, is when I expect it... But who knows.

I'm at a firm, but was referring to law school colleagues. Shoukdve said former classmates..as far as substance behind their predictions, they're just going off of the fact that the sheer number of applicants (aka essays to grade) went down, so common sense would say grading would be quicker. But if law school taught us anything, it's that common sense has no place in the law. So idk.

This is the same email I received.

Received a similar letter from the 2nd Dept. back in Aug.

I'm stockpiling liquor. I've already failed this exam before, so this is the last time I'm playing this waiting game. If I end up failing, I'm going to work as a high school teacher or something.

Meanwhile...I have enough bourbon to last me through this depressing, anxious month. I doubt results are coming out before the last week of October.

Yep. The MBE thread is even worse. So far, it appears that there is widespread decrease in pass rates.

This place has become my daily ritual. But keeping me some what sane. Every time a state is released with MBE scores that are high, I worry even more about my own. It's going to be a long 2-3 weeks.

I'm in the UK, and I expect the results when they are released, to come out at midnight NY time.
That's 5am to me.

So I've started a ritual of turing my wifi off when I go to bed, and then I leave it off until I get to work at 9am, and only turn it on after I check this site to see that they haven't come out a few hours earlier. There is no way im finding out I failed first thing in the morning then being able to make
my way to work as normal.

When the morning comes that I find out they are released, i'm leaving my phone off until after work at 5pm.
Then checking my phone on my own, in my own time, without telling anyone that they are even in.

God, my palms are sweating even thinking about all that.

It'd be nice to do it in secret but that's not really possible if you're currently working with others who took the same barzam. Ugh that's gonna be a fun day.

I held off looking for my Colorado results yesterday until the late evening. The fact that I knew the scores were out made it that much worse. By the end of the evening, before I looked I was sick, and suffering from a sick case of depression thinking I failed. I don't recommend waiting once you know the scores are out, because it really is a miserable experience knowing, but not knowing.
