Midnight usually means the start of the day, not the end, though

Midnight Tuesday is Tuesday night.
Don't they typically tell applicants in advance of releasing publicly?

Lol this is insane, don't they usually have a day buffer between emails going out and the list going publicly? Makes me think it'd be midnight tonight and then print list goes out Wednesday

The board will inform test-takers and make the passage rates publicly available. The results will be posted on the Law Journal website Tuesday at about midnight and in the print edition Wednesday.
Last year, the passage rate among the 11,195 test-takers who took the test for the first time was 83 percent, down from 86 percent in the previous year.
This year, there were 11,206 applicants scheduled to take the test.
The bar examination to be administered in February will be the last before the board begins to administer the Uniform Bar Exam, which has been adopted in 15 other states. The new test will include two state-specific components that will be administered online: a "New York Law Course" and a 50-question multiple choice test.
As in 1.5 hours from now or as in 25.5 hours from now?! I'm not a NY taker and I'm nervous for you all.
I'm reading this as we find out tonight, law journal tomorrow, and the world on Wednesday.

It's weird that the date on the article reads October 27 (as article published on October 27).

2. Do someone appeal the bar exam score?? Any success?

3. pass rate is 70%?? So at least 7 in 10 people pass, as long as you are not at bottom 30%?

4. I bet 50% takers are in the neighborhood of unknown... all depending on the curve.. so the exam is NOT a good test!

I had same issue re: the BOLE ID. I'm not sure if I messed up but I caught myself in the AM (there was some other ID). I hope it does not delay us!

Yeah that's messing with me a little, like maybe the article went out early and wasn't meant until tomorrow and they mean midnight as in right after 11:59pm Tuesday night. But I also don't think they'd send e-mails tomorrow night and then have the list publicly available the same day basically if it goes live Wednesday morning.

Anyone from past years who can shed some insight? Does this mean go to bed and stay up tomorrow, or does it mean stay up right now?

"Tuesday" around midnight, eh Andrew Denney?

"Strictly speaking, midnight belongs neither to the day before nor the day after, and it is not proper to designate midnight as either AM or PM. Midnight is the dividing line between days, in the same sense that the present is the dividing line between the future and the past. (Think about it.)" http://www.straightdope.com/columns/rea ... jan-1-2001

Andrew Denney: clearly not a lawyer.

It's an article that will be published in tomorrow's NY Law Journal. If results were coming out tonight, it would say "were released late Monday night and early Tuesday morning." Considering that the results master list goes live for all of us at the same time overnight, of course the NYLJ would publish them as soon as they became available. It's a newspaper. It's not going to sit on news for a day.

From Above the Law LAST year:
some nervous test takers received emails from the New York BOLE before midnight on October 27 with their results from the July 2014 administration of the exam.

This makes sense. We're probably not getting our results in an hour.
