I have a question for all of you, since it seems that many ran out of time. What about those who had time left over? I've been mulling over this in my head since July. Did I miss too much? I particularly remember whizzing through the MBE questions and now I'm really, really worried that I just didn't think hard enough about the issues. Anyone have experience like this? Give me your infinite wisdom TLSers.

Same as you. I was always running out of time when practicing MBE questions that during the actual exam I went wayyy too fast imo. Now I keep on telling myself that I didn't think enough of the issues.

But a lot of people finished earlier (10-20 minutes) and passed with flying colors. We'll be just fine ;-)

Also- I'm loving the nutty horoscope checks. Glad to know I'm not the only one losing sleep.

A girl I sat next to had gone to Harvard/Yale, I forget which, and had an Article III clerkship so likely did well in school. She was also very bubbly and chill, and finished both the AM and PM with almost an hour to spare. Considering the chances of someone with that profile failing their first time are less than 1% and her persona wasn't indicative of someone who will fail, she probably rocked it. Some people just know the subjects better than people like me who scrambled till the last second.

I'm still unsure if I was part of
The string of Ds MBE group, so I'm panicking and thinking "maybe I circled 4 Ds in the span of 7 and only got 2 or 3 incorrect."

Anyone else in that paranoia?

i wish i had her brain...or may be she was overconfident and sometimes those are the people that end up failing. i mean no school has 100% pass rate.

And if they release at midnight like they did for the July 2014 test, midnight tonight (which is really Tuesday, the 27th), would be the 90th day, right?

This time on all the practice runs I was getting 125-130 raw in the MBE and I didn't neglect looking over the MPT. My handwriting has also been politely described as "offensive" so I opted to type this time out. These three differences are my hope.
Anyway that's me, I've nothing else to offer. Not sure if I can can stomach another try if I don't get it this time, though having said that if I was to fail by a few points, it would be hard not to.
Best of luck everyone!!

(PS, i'm actively considering logging off email and just checking in here for updates on the results - at least then I have 5 minutes to prepare. Last time the email came as a surprise. You really want to open your results away from and certainly out of earshot of people)

July was my second time taking it. In Feb I was pure guessing on a lot of mbe but in July I finished the AM session with 20 minutes to spare. I found the afternoon session more difficult but not a disaster. I am like you, starting to feel that my confidence in answering questions was not in fact knowing the right answer but instead the " it is what it is" attitude. On the day I know I wasn't like that as I gave this repeat all I had and did tons of practice. But as the days and months roll by I question everything I did that day and whether I was thinking straight at all.

I hand wrote myself, and I feel like i didn't get as much in as I wanted to...I was paranoid about having laptop issues on my 3 year old mac book pro that already runs at a snail pace. I didn't get to finish the MPT which I hope doesn't screw up my written average. I also fuddled around with the wills question quite a bit.

Although there is a significant reduction I think that BOLE will follow the pattern of 2014. I also believe that quantity of bar takers will fall more if many decide to take the UBE in an "easier" state and transfer their results to NY. Just an opinion.

How does this work, i.e., if Alabama requires a 260 to pass and NY requires a 266, if you take it in Alabama and try to transfer to NY, don't you still need the 266? Or, are you just saying don't take it in a state that requires anything higher than the NY 266 because if you fail in that state, you won't be able to transfer to NY? Starting next July, I wouldn't think there is any advantage to taking it in another ("easier") state and transfering to NY if you want to practice in NY, but am I missing something?

The other thing about the UBE is it seems like you can't take two different state UBE tests in the same year since the essay part is always Tuesdays.

Well, just take it anywhere you can get more than 266 or perhaps more than 280 but also anywhere the results are released promptly! I read other posts about people who got almost 300.

I also feel the same... Typers get the distinct advantage of cut, copy and paste, which is a freaking godsend on the essays.

Yeah, I guess it's also possible I smelled bad. I packed right guard but I was nervous that morning so I can't be 100% sure I remembered to put it on.

If I pass, (big if!), I promise to help those of you who didn't by sharing whatever materials of my own that I have that might be useful. (my own work obviously, there will be no copyright issues).
All too often those that pass throw one line in a forum, and disappear. I will definitely try to help out anyone who needs it. I know what this experience is like, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I definitely had a string of D's, but don't even think I talked about adverse possession on essay 1 and did what I did in law school which is just spotting a few of the issues and making them seem more complicated than they actually are to mask the fact I don't know anything. It only works when there's no preset grading rubric.

i dont even remember essays 2 and 3. i remember something about UCC....ugh. i felt alright about the essays and i think i did well on the MPT, but you never know. Morning MBE had D's but i stupidly had decaf coffee for breakfast and began dozing off. had a red bull at lunch and was ok for the afternoon. i definitely outright bubbled in whatever for at least 15 questions in the morning.

I just consulted my magic 8 ball app, it says we should get results sometime tonight. I may or may not have asked it multiple times before it told me "yes," so take this with a tiny grain of salt.

This kind of tendency to notice patterns everywhere seems to be a problem for law students. Same reason anybody would freak about putting D too many times in a row on a test where they shuffle the questions around. Chill, dudes.

Sure, the last two release dates might show it's around this time. But they don't necessarily show that BOLE is intentionally releasing one day earlier every year.

You also have to recognize that most bar exam graders have f/t jobs as lawyers, and do this because they like to do it but it's never their primary focus so any random thing that may have come up in one person's job or personal life may delay the result.

Very wise words. Still, seeing patterns makes the wait better
So:
People said the results for the last July exams were always sent out around midnight. However someone else mentioned February 2015 results came out around 5 pm. What about earlier February exams? Maybe February 2015 indicates a change of pattern and we don't have to wait until midnight?

Just spent the past 3 hrs in a conference room with a bunch of colleagues who also just took the bar, and someone (or more than one person) had their damned mail notification sound on. Every time it went off I'd neurotically check my phone.

This is rough.
