Does it really count if they gave us the elements of the crime? That was so odd.

I think they only gave the mental state.
I think what they wanted was the elements of a crime, actus reus, mens rea (provided), concurrence and no justification, at least thats what I went with because it seemed too easy.

In the family law essay question (Essay 1?) the question about "does the court have subject matter jurisdiction"... I wrote like two sentences about how the supreme court has original JX over matrimonial actions. I feel like there should have been more to bullshit about.

Said the exact same thing and couldn't think of anything else that would apply. So hopefully that's what they were looking for.

Same, thought there was a ton of "minor" questions that I could've nailed with a sentence or two. That shit with the negligence and the four motion to dismiss. NO. STOP IT.

I also went over on an essay...

Went over?

Meaning I spent over an hour on an essay in the early portion. My plan was to do each essay within 40 minutes minimum and 50 minutes if I absolutely needed it; ended up spending like an hour and 10 minutes on one which really screwed me over timing wise.

Also, I realized that I referred to the client as "the client" in the MPT instead of "you" or something more informal, as befitting a client letter.. Just thought I was sounding more professional but consensus seems to be that it's a no-no..

Nah man, you good. We're all just delving deep into deep issues. Just sound like not an idiot and you're good. NY not that hard of a bar compared to other states. Just a ton of people take it, who shouldn't take the bar, or shouldn't really be a lawyer. The lady next to me had B's on her last like 25 MPC today (I saw when I putting my shit in my envelope, and was seeing if she needed me to pass her stuff over)

On every question. You aren't meant to hit every issue though. Or delve in deep. I mean 40 minutes to write 1000 words is tough.

I didnt run out of time, but I finished the am sesson at 12.12 (so no time for any review), and the evening session I called the proctor over and handed her my booklet at like, 4.57, just disgusted with my MPT. I don't even know what I was talking about, how to reference the cases in it, and tie them in with the facts and statutes. Nada.
