I'm glad everyone else seems to have had similar experiences with Set 5 (not happy everyone is doing poorly, just, you know, misery loves company)
Trust me when I tell you Set 6 will bring your confidence back.

Wait, did they just replace the Donald Trump quote (probably because they were afraid of offending someone)?

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2015 Exam
I just saw something posted last year or so about Set 5. Basically, review the answers to gain clarification about the minor exceptions/nuances that they test but don't add them to a study list or anything. The poster's thought was that you don't want to get fooled because you're looking at every question like there's a trick, however, if you get stuck and the rule applies you'll have at least read about it.

Not that it's really of interest to anybody but I emailed barbri about the model essay answer I had yesterday involving joint tenancy/foreclosure.
Barbri's response was basically: The author probably was thinking about the right rule but wrote the wrong one. They still got a good score, but I'd recommend writing the correct rule.

Don't suppose they could just assume I'm always thinking about the right rule no matter nonsense what I type.Good Guy Gaud wrote:charlesxavier wrote:Not that it's really of interest to anybody but I emailed barbri about the model essay answer I had yesterday involving joint tenancy/foreclosure.

The set of 50 questions are a breeze though, which is odd. I'm just skipping sets 5 and 6 altogether and doing Emmanuel's or the sets of 50. Their plan to beat us into submission with hard questions has gotten oldBarbro wrote:Got a solid 6/18 on that one. I think Barbri has to be fucking with us at this point.DesperadoOfColumbia wrote:BVest wrote:That Property MPQ 5: WTF? There's no way any of the real MBE property questions are as difficult as the easiest of that set.
I got like 6 of them right, I could've gotten a better score if I just did it drunk, but MPQs are all over the way hard so don't kill yourself over it.
Also I'm doing like 45-50% on MBE stuff (except for crim, I'm fucking great at crim I guess). Had a total breakdown but one of the junior attorneys at my firm emailed me to tell me that that's really pretty normal and just calm my god damn jets.
And what i with the essays? I get a score, then little boxes in PDF format, but there's no way to read the comments. Also 2 of my essays have n't been graded yet.

How do you submit a question to barbri? I'm 99% sure one of their essay answers is wrong and it is actually a critical issue.

Hey guys just completed the Simulated MBE (200 Q's) and I'm anxious about my % because my % rank hasn't refreshed yet. I got 128/200. I'm not sure it matters, but I am located in NY. Could someone give me an idea where I stand? Thanks !!

It's a state thing.Good Guy Gaud wrote:No clue.3|ink wrote:How do you submit a question to barbri? I'm 99% sure one of their essay answers is wrong and it is actually a critical issue.
Which essay?
Virginia has a rule that you can't sue a county for breach of contract unless you present your claim to the county and the county rejects it. I looked up the statute and it is pretty clear that it only applies to contract actions. Both the CMR and the big outline indicate it applies only to contracts.
The essay answer says it applies generally to any claim for money damages, including torts.

Not in NY but I'm pretty sure they said anything above 126/200 would be passing in nearly any jurisdiction.moreheesh wrote:Hey guys just completed the Simulated MBE (200 Q's) and I'm anxious about my % because my % rank hasn't refreshed yet. Further, BarBri purposely gives harder MBE questions than you'll actually get, so factor in a bump for that and you're in great shape.

Can I do half of the simulated MBE and get a score, or do I have to do the whole thing?

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2015 Exam
Just finished MBE Set 6 of Con. Law and Set 4 for Torts.
WTF.
I finally thought I was getting the hang of the MBE questions. On the mixed sets, I score 33-35/50. Yet on the later MBE sets, I'm just getting destroyed.
And the explanations aren't really that useful. I'm seeing more that basically say, "Yeah, the answer you picked is correct. But it's not as strong as this other answer. You see this other answer talks about some narrow exception explained in footnote 23 on page 8 of your MBE outline."

You have to do the whole thing. It warns you to submit both AM and PM at the same time. My guess is if you only submit half, it will treat the not answered one as just wrong.rinkrat19 wrote:Can I do half of the simulated MBE and get a score, or do I have to do the whole thing?
