I pay no attention to patterns in the corresponding letter choices.

But regardless, I really think Barbri is going to have to revamp its curriculum after this year. Guzman & co were useless for many of the questions. Maybe just me, but a shit ton of them felt like you just had to use your intuition and hope to read the test maker's mind.

Honestly, I think the NCBE was pissed about those TTT law schools complaining about the July 2014 'tough' test, so they made a REALLY TOUGH TEST just to screw with them.

Haha I've just been burnt on that in the past and refuse to look at patterns anymore.

92 lead pipe locks is pretty good. 50/50 on the rest is still a heck of a score.
Well, a decent number of the 92 may be wrong because they're one of those questions where I immediately think I know the answer to, only to find out after grading that I misread the question because I got ahead of myself. Taking that into account, I still think/hope I passed, but it's rather too close for comfort.
Even if you say you're right 80% of the time and you were 50% on the other 108 you'd hit almost 130 which with the 15-17 point boost would put you at 50 percentile. And I imagine you did better than that so you should pass fine.

Now I'm really stressed and trying to recall what I missed as to why everyone's saying that test was near impossible... But then beer doesn't help either.

This.

It made me wonder if I was predisposed to picking the last answer I read, so I started reading the answers from D to A. It didn't change things though.

I wonder if a lot of us were too smart/overprepared for the MBE. I read into each question like a million ambiguities and hesitated between a lot of the choices because I could spot so many defects in each one. Felt like a lot of the ambiguities were unintentional, and the exam writer just didn't reread their own questions and answers thoroughly and pick up on some of the unanticipated nuances.

I definitely was not overprepared, but I did think there were a couple questions that they simply had not provided enough information to really know the correct answer to. But then again I probably just knew the rule incorrectly.

I just put a mark next to each question that I was not certain about. The goal was to come back to them but never had time obviously.

I counted too, I mark the ones I'm not sure about in case I have time at the end to look them over (I never do). I counted 80 that I am not confident about at all.

+1, but I finished each half with 50 mins to spare... I obviously did something wrong :(

Yea, 50 min early was my average Barbri speed too. I usually do 25 every half an hour or so.

3. you cannot immediately grade like you are used to, so you've never had to deal with this before

just keep that in mind.
repost! It's a normal feeling, and you'll all end up doing better than you did on the Barbri questions. It only feels harder -- it isn't actually.
think i need to repost this every page. take comfort in the fact that barbri/other programs have been churning this out year after year with success. if you were diligent in your studying and were doing reasonably well on the practice problems, you will pass, i assure you.
