58/48/23..12/16/15.... Raw 172 Scale 131.... How in the $&/: do we have the same scaled score????

Legal10101 MC: 43; Essays: 129 = Raw 172 Scale 131

Sgttpc: MC: 46; Essays: 116 = Raw Score 162, Scaled 131

Sgttpc beat you in multiple choice. Let's say a MC point is actually worth 3, then he beat you by 9 points.

So legal10101 beat Sgttpc in the morning by 13 points and Sgttpc beat Legal10101 in the afternoon by 9 points. 4 point raw difference before they do any further scaling/manipulation. Not too far fetched for you guys to both be at 131 when it's all calculated.

Best way to pass the bar is to grab 50% all around on MC and essays or 45% & 55% in favor of MC not essays.

He got 162 out of 400 possible points (40%) and almost passed. How many test have you taken where 40% got a passing grade?

They were very fair. Looking at the last 10 or so bar exams, those were straight forward but you were screwed if you didn't know the law. I don't think there will be a lot of bs points to be had. You also needed to type fast.

Question: When you paid the $80 or so for the MPRE, does it automatically send your MPRE Scores to Florida?

Yes if taken in Fl. If not, must contact NCBE for transfer.

Venture capital finance senior year of college, B+ was a 33%. Calc 3 it was 28%

I've been nervous since February when I started thinking about the bar. Oddly, at this point I'm pretty "meh." On Monday I'm going to need to take a beta blocker though.

Haven't thought about it too much, but I am starting to feel a little nervous now. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Last February I had MC: 46; Essays: 129 = Raw 175 Scale 132

This time around I feel pretty good about all three essays, but once again I'm not sure about the Florida MC. I'm hoping for 50+ points per essay and at least 45 on MC. Best of luck to all!

So you averaged around 43% per essay, and about 52% on the MC. Those are decent essay scores, so I would have thought the scaled score would've come out higher. Even so, if you hit the national average for this cycle on the MBE (140.5) you would pass overall with a 132 on Part A.

There's a decent chance that I'll end up failing part A by a similar margin (5 points or so) and passing part B with enough to pass overall. I don't have a good guideline for how I might've done on Florida, and I did not feel good about the FLMC. I took Kaplan and felt like Kaplan didn't prepare us for the FLMC at all. They had some guy from Virginia come in and teach Florida Civ Pro when it was clear he had no expertise or training in Florida law. I got a 60/100 which was above the average for Kaplan when I took the Kaplan Part A simulated exam.

As far as essays, I felt like Kaplan's grading won't be reflective of the actual exam... the "average" score for Florida essays in Kaplan was like a 41, which is not passing. It's not possible that the "Average" essay is failing. I also remember vividly one property essay when I wrote a shit ton under timed conditions, and got full credit for every single point of law I discussed, but Kaplan's grader gave me a 37 because she said I missed a single issue. That's not how essay grading is supposed to work, missing a single issue is not supposed to result in a failure when the rest of the essay was excellent. So I feel like I have no guideline for what a passing bar essay is supposed to look like, since Kaplan's grading was so bizarre.

I always felt good about the MBE though. It's the one predictable part of the exam, and therefore the part I spent the most time on. A 150 MBE was not out of reach for me, and that's pretty much auto pass in Florida. So hopefully I got that 150 and will pass overall tomorrow.

I split the exam since I work full-time. I fortunately passed July 2015's MBE with a 138 (I honestly felt like I guessed half the exam) but I failed February 2016's Florida part. I only took the Florida part this July as well which is why I'm hoping for at least 50%+ all around on essays and FL MC. From what I read that should allow me to pass. Tomorrow will be interesting.

I am so so happy. I passed. I can't believe I am now licensed in NY and Florida. Congratulations to all those who passed. I know what a relief this must be. To all those that didn't make it, please please do not give up. The mind is a powerful tool, be sad for the week dust yourself up and set your mind right and try again, you will pass. I took the Feb Florida bar and failed by 3.5 points it was painful, but I picked myself up after a week and started studying for the MBE portion only. I studied exclusively with my old themis notes and adaptibar and this time I passed. So so happy and grateful right now.
