Aspiring lawyers who sat for the July 2014 bar examination are eligible for $90 each from software company ExamSoft Worldwide Inc. under a class action settlement.
Eligible for payments under the settlement are those who paid for use of the software for the bar exam on July 28 and July 29, 2014, except for those whose exams were uploaded by 5:52 p.m. on July 29, 2014, and for whom there is no record of a failed upload attempt before that time. Test takers in Massachusetts, New Jersey and the U.S. Virgin Islands are also excluded because the software was not used in those states on July 29, 2014, the settlement said.
