Question: is it inherently unfair to require bar examinees to test in a freezing cold cattle barn with no operating heating system, when the temperature out is 27degrees?

Personally, I had trouble writing and concentrating while trying to keep warm. The temperature inside the testing area was below 40 degrees.

Inherently Unfair or nah?

lower temperatures stimulate brain activity, so they actually did you a favor.

Lol!!

Lower temperatures also causes the blood to retract from the brain and extremities. Seriously, the exam was delayed due to the freezing temperature. Proctors brought in 6 space heaters in attempt to warm a gazillion sq.ft. Proctors wore gloves, winter hats, warmuffs, mouth covers, and scarfs.

I feel like a tool complaining, since I took the bar in CALI, but the air conditioning inside the Pasadena test center made it so cold that I couldnt get my fingers to type at maximum speed. So it definitely was a problem - I typed about 15% less than I could have. Still, my problems seem first world compared to yours. :|

DallasTexan, I assume you were in the Ft. Worth testing center. I was too. That was insane and inhumane. I passed (so I guess I shouldn't complain?), but I definitely don't feel like I did anything close to my best work. I also came down with a terrible cold and sinus infection during the exam, so I was not a happy camper. Typing those essays with, like, no circulation to my fingers was a nightmare. I made a gazillion typos from having my fingers go numb.
