Places to Study in NYC for the July NYS Bar Exam
Hi All:
I'm moving to NYC from DC in a few weeks, and I'm taking BARBRI at Fordham Law for the July NYS Bar Exam. Any suggestions for places to study in Manhattan (near Fordham Law or other places in Midtown or LES) or Brooklyn (Williamsburg)?
Thank You!

Avoid public libraries, as they also serve as half way houses and homeless shelters.

Learned this the hard way studying for the LSAT. Do NOT go to public libraries. The Bryant Park main library is the only one that's tolerable. Pickings are surprisingly slim in the city unless you have an office you can go to on weekends.
In a pinch, I'd go to one of the big midtown delis--most of them are really quiet if you go at night and if you order a coffee or something, you can sit undisturbed for hours at a table. A lot of these have mezzanines that are completely empty at the right time.

check if your law school has a library exchange program. Mine did and I could study either in the Fordham law library or the NYU library.

Thank you all for your tips. I called Fordham Law and they have a program for $50 (for non Fordham Law students studying for the bar) to use their library for the summer. I'll likely do that.

A lot of the older hotels have conference areas or libraries which are pretty quiet and great to study - usually also a nice coffee shop around there.
