how much for missing an entire section because of that?!
For what its worth, there is a model answer from the Feb 2015 cal bar, where the Model Answer B only hit one issue on the second portion of one of the essays where as the Model Answer A had hit more issues on the second portion of the essays. Considering that essays was one of the model answers, I am sure you are fine if your PR section is bad, assuming you rocked the corp section.

Can somebody tell me, though, what kind of score you might expect to get on an essay where you knew absolutely nothing about the subject - who knows if you actually hit any relevant issues. You essentially made up all the law and completely bullshitted. And you didn't write all that much either although you attempted to at least address all the questions (with your made up law).

I'm trying to gauge how badly this essay will hurt me.
I'd assume a 50-55 if you were sure about literally zero issues but you still made a good effort to try to bullshit your way that at least sounds in the realm of the subject.
Thanks for the info. I'm just praying that I don't get below a 50 on it. And that somehow I got enough points in other areas to make up for it.

But I've pretty much accepted that I failed because it's not like I think I knocked the MBE out of the park or something (quite the contrary).

At the least, hopefully I am making you all who are worried about missing a couple issues here or there on the corps essay feel better.
Have you played around with the score calculator? You can find one here https://one-timers.com/calculate-your-f ... exam-grade

I know that I did really shitty on that Corporations/PR essay, even worse than I did on that Con law [where I went Due Process route for the first 2 owners, and eminent domain for the last guy]. And I pretty much bombed the Property essay on day one because Themis didn't bother to mention restraint on alienation anywhere on the final outline and I just sort of forgot about. My whole Property essay was about the property automatically reverting back... Which led to Adverse Possession discussion..which led to a lot of wasted time on the non-existent issues. But you know what? I'm still relatively confident I passed.
You keep saying that Themis never mentioned restraint on alienation but it was taught in the lectures.

It indeed was mentioned in the lectures. A lot of stuff was mentioned in the lectures. Even more stuff was mentioned in the long outlines than was ever mentioned in the lectures. But was it mentioned on the final outline? Nope.

I talked about all of those in #6, along with SDP and the test for regulatory taking.

There was a very similar essay I read when I was issue spotting that also talked about a "denominator" issue. I threw that in there too.

Now, for Corps, forget about it. I bombed that section. I could not remember the rule for a shareholder derivitive suit, 10b5, par value, etc. I threw in the Business Judgement rule, piercing the corporate veil, and a few other things I could remember. I'm sure I failed.

They were there for a few days and then Poof, they were gone. Maybe they re-read them and thought they were poor examples.

Wow, how many times do you guys read the questions? I must read them at least 10 times to make sure I don't miss anything. I also cross out each fact as I use it.
