Tell me about it, it's my 3rd time. Luckily I found an incredible tutor this time who is teaching me in a way that Barbri did not. I have a good feeling about this time.

Does anyone know of a good source for CA Professional Responsibility multiple choice questions, or at least one that has ABA PR with some CA mixed in?

On exam day do we get scratch paper for the MBE or essays?

I could use a heavily abridged commercial outline covering all the different topics, just to glance over whenever I have free time. Any recommendations? Thanks all.

I personally think they are terrible, but they're the most popular commercial condensed outline.

You can check out samples at leansheets.com

Barcode cheat sheets is fantastic for big-ticket items.

I wasn't a big fan of leansheets.

However, just spend that free time doing more qs on adaptibar mobile, and then during study time learn all the material. Don't take shortcuts!

Not looking for a shortcut; I have a long outline written out and I have a tendency to start getting lost in topics that aren't heavily tested on the exam. I'd create my own condensed outline, but I want to have a commercial one to make sure I'm focusing on the right topics.

On another note, that Shia Labeouf motivational video came out at just the right time

What's the word on baressays.com? Worth the subscription? If so, worth the premium subscription?

Sketchylaw seems interesting, although I don't know how effective it will actually be. I watched the sample video, but it seems to be pretty light on material, maybe? Seems good for an essay question, but you might be liable to miss an MBE, I think. And there's only two subjects it seems.

Yes. Yes.

How often would you do an essay? They recommend every day but I obviously won't know the law cold for some time and have only covered a handful of subjects thus far with barbri.

I liked to do a day of review and learning, and then a day of essays where I "cook" them by outlining the issues and rules and revise my notes based on comparing my answers to model or real answers from BarEssays.

Then some time down the line, do another day or half day of essays.

This process takes a little over a month, not counting any full-day simulations you do.

MBE every day is a given.

Sample schedule (my schedule) below. See in particular the bottom half.

For SketchyLaw, sometimes the symbols are just the main things you need to know but he talks in a lot of detail about the topics. And sometimes they're really detailed too. You can't learn the topics just from the videos obviously but they're a nice way to reinforce and make sure you remember key stuff. Also Lean Sheets are great guys I don't know why anyone's hating.

Hah, indeed it does. I like it though. I've listened to all the free ones... buddy hooked me up with this: SKETCHYLAUNCH25. bout to cop it... also just to get away from these droning BarBri lecturers. I can't take it anymore and it's June 3rd.

When will the remaining topics come out? Could be a fun way to reinforce the materials. Are there any samples of contracts?

Not sure about the other topics, but the first video right when you go to the page is Contracts. It's actually really cool. If you make a free account you can watch a bunch more too.

So how precise do we have to be when reciting rules for our essays? The model solutions from Themis seems to have verbatim recitations of rules, followed by discussion of facts to law. I mean, in law school we were only required to have a somewhat-accurate recitation of rules, or at times the rule recitation wasn't required at all if you were able to demonstrate your understanding via application of facts to law.

I'm just not a good memorizer, so it's daunting to see the model answers that have paragraphs upon paragraphs of straight up rule recitation...

As precise as you can, but you don't have to spit out memorized lines verbatim. As long as the concept is there, you should be good. I like to learn the concepts rather than the exact wording of the rules, barring a few exceptions where you might want a template.
