68%. I finished the lectures on Monday and went rogue. Spent the last few days doing practice essay questions.

Moran ended up being my least favorite lecturer. She uses "I wanted to say" as a transition way too often.

I'm doing the MBE practice test tomorrow and then I'll spend the last few weeks drilling my outlines with 10 or so MBE questions a night to stay sharp.

FYI, the character limits in the practice essays may not reflect what your jurisdiction actually requires. I checked with my state and it has no word limits on the essays despite Themis saying that the "character count [is] based on limitations imposed by your bar exam jurisdiction."

I am also working full time and I passed CA in July. I am only using Themis for the UCC shit I never learned in LS and for practice transitioning from CA to MEE and MPT.

I don't even know why I bought Themis, I should have bought a CMR and self studied. I hate how you have to do the essays online in their shitty website prompt.

Also I stopped doing their MBEs and am instead doing Adaptibar. Very satisfied with Adaptibar.

How's everyone doing out there? I'm ready to get this done. How did everyone do on the simulated MBE? I'm not that happy with my results but am finding the lectures helpful. 16 days!

Lew emailed me the schedule we were supposed to be abiding by, and I am seriously seriously 10 days behind. I am working 14 hours per day at this point, I am so depressed, and although I am scoring consistently 85-90 on the graded NY essays I am below national average on all MBE sections except Real Property, which I am head.

Are the MPT lectures worth watching?

Are the MPT lectures worth watching?

Get to 75% on each subcategory. A) that's where the guarantee is and B) I felt overprepared even at that point.

Working on it.

Some of these questions, especially in Crim Law and Crim Pro are more so English comprehension than how well do you know the law.

For example, the call of the question in 1 Crim Law multiple choice (slightly edited so I don't get a GAIA ban).

Hey does anyone have resources for quickly digesting bankruptcy and taxation? I am taking the Texas bar exam - and I am really nervous that I neglected these subjects until now and that none of my friends seem to have condensed outlines on the subject!

I am also using Themis - I used them to take California in July and they provided condensed outlines on all the state specific subjects, but I am taking Texas in two weeks, and there are no state specific condensed outlines this time, so I wonder why that is.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since neither of those topics are tested on the Texas bar exam, I wouldn't worry about them.

Since neither of those topics are tested on the Texas bar exam, I wouldn't worry about them.

They definitely are - they are crossover subjects.

I just took the Texas July exam, and looked through countless old exams in studying. There was no taxation and no bankruptcy beyond prioritization of liens and maybe perfecting a judgment.

You can absolutely skip the crossover stuff, it hasn't been tested in in over a decade or something ridiculous like that.

All of my essay practice questions AND MBE's have been direct from either from whomever writes MBE questions or the New York bar.

On an aside, is anyone else having a MASSIVE problem with motivation? I know we only have like a week left, but getting myself to study this last week is immeasurably harder than it was 3 weeks ago.

Texas has old exams and selected answers going back a few years on their website - but the Themis practice exams mirror them very closely!

Some are part of it, but I didn't think it was enough. Fortunately, Texas provides sample exams and answers for free.

I was feeling good about this until yesterday when I started worrying about the MEE. It didn't bother me when I was doing the MEE PQ's when issues came up that I didn't have a clue to how answer (e.g., serving a complaint on a corporation abroad) because I figured I still had time. Now all I can think about is having to blindly guess on half the MEE. I've done all the essay PQ's and still feel like I don't know shit. Is this how you guys who took the July 2013 test felt?

My MBE practice test was 82%, which is about where my subject-specific MBE questions averaged out. I don't know if I should spend the last week cramming for the MEE or just screw it since it's only 30% in my jurisdiction (UBE).

Missouri's like the only UBE state that breaks down the MEE subjects, which is fine because apparently all the UBE states used the same MEE questions. The UBE's been somewhat formulaic with the MEE in the past. Two to four of the 6 questions are MBE/MEE questions.

Of course, that's all subject to change.

All I meant was to do a couple of them, just to get the timing down. The damn things suck if you're not prepped for them, and you'll leave easy points behind. If you feel comfortable doing them, they're a great way to get points.

Has anyone ever had the Themis algorithm for MBE practice questions go full sadist on them?

I figure there has to be some logic to the questions it chooses, and some MBE practice tests are like "meh whatever 83%" and other times its one question after another that tests an exception to an exception to an exception to an exception.

I am completely fucked for UCC 3/9. I never took either class in law school and the themis outline might as well have been written in arabic.

I got a 142 on the practice mbe and a 5 on my mpt. I feel comfortable with MPTs. I am pretty sure I can pull a 4 on all the MBE, con law and family essays that show up.

Am I crazy for writing off the UCC subjects for the MEE?

Statistically, it looks like a UCC 3/9 is coming our way....

Which bar? I pretty much wrote off Trusts, and had a Trusts essay show up on the UBE. I passed with room to spare. On the UBE, each essay's 5% of your total bar score. If you fuck it up, expect to only lose 2.5-3% overall. Plus, the UBE didn't care how you got points, so long as you passed. It's not one of those "you must have a 135 in each section to pass" bars.
