No, I wouldn't say I've ever had trouble. There have been a couple classes I haven't gotten in the initial registration, but I've managed to get them in drop/add. We have a system where you have two priorities that you can spend during your time at Michigan, and they give you a bump to the front of line instead of just relying on the seniority-weighted lottery. I just registered for my last semester (we don't know results of registration yet), and I still had one left (you get it back if you try to spend it and didn't really need it to get into the class), so I checked the box for every single class I was trying for.jackassjim wrote:Thanks for the reply Alexandria,
That sounds like good advice and good fun. Have you had trouble registering in courses so far (class is full or something like that)?
Also, there's a huge list of courses on the website. Is this just for show or are most of them actually thought from time to time?
Thanks!!

I would say to look at the class schedules instead of the class list to get a feel for what is offered. I think a ton of different things are offered, but there is probably stuff on that other list that has only been offered a couple times, when a particular prof was visiting or something. And then another prof comes and teaches a really similar class, but it's given a different title and description bc it's not quite the same.
(OTOH, I know awesomepossum used both of his priorities his 2L year.)
