you got some kind of ETA on this grade release bidness??? if anyone does, YOU do
Here's what I know:
At least some short course grades have been posted and received, so the system isn't entirely fragged.
From here on out, they'll trickle onto SIS. As the email we got stated, often the course review will be posted under 'completed course reviews' just before grades come out. Currently no 1L courses have reviews up.
Last year, ~10/24 1L classes had grades posted by ~January 25th, and basically nobody had all of their grades. The bulk come in right around the deadline for submitting grades (February 1st).
Our Torts professor is infamous for being slow (but rumor hath it prioritizes 1L classes) , so I wouldn't expect that grade until mid-Feb

Apparently some 1Ls have at least one grade:

Re: UVA 1L taking questions
Since this somehow turned into the nervous 1Ls waiting for grades thread: Looks like at least one 1L class is ready to go (Sinclair civ pro course evals are up).

1: doing pro bono work. I thought that a lot more people on here would be doing that, but apparently not...slider wrote:0L question here...
1- I understand Spring semester classes don't start until about mid-January. What are 1Ls (or most of you) doing now? Are you taking a break from studying?
2- Also, I believe there is a short 1-2 week class that takes place right before the regular Spring semester. What is advantage of taking these classes? Genuine interest in the subject matter? GPA boost?

Oh I know what you mean about nice and quiet. I was in C'Ville from the 23rd of Dec to the 3rd of Jan and it seemed almost empty. It's nice for visitors to actually be able to find parking on Arlington for a change.YCrevolution wrote:I'm really just kind of bored and don't feel like reading about white supremacy right now for my J-term course. I considered going grocery shopping... maybe I'll do that. It's nice and quiet around this time, and tomorrow is senior citizens discount day at HT, and I don't want to deal with that. And I really want some bananas.CE2JD wrote:

Re: UVA 1L taking questions
Does anyone live in or know anything about the Graduate Centre? I was thinking of staying there next year because it's seem like the cheapest alternative to staying in an apartment with someone whom I don't know. I don't mind sharing the space, I just don't feel like sharing a lease.
Any thoughts???
