I assume you are referencing 1L grades? If so the curve doesnt move - it is still at 85. However the distribution/rank cutoffs do tighten a small amount.
1Ls chill out and enjoy your summer. Your grades will be out soon. It really hasn't been that long. 8)

They're out, that's probably why he was asking.

Best Thai?
I'll let someone else handle this. I think NCtoDC is a Thai aficionado.
Best Sushi?
I like Mizu, we go there a lot.
Best BBQ?
Little Richard's (western NC style). Oh, and Bib's during football & basketball seasons since your ticket stub is good for a free pulled pork sandwich.
Best Burger?
Cookout.
Best Bar?
All of them?? Personal preference will dictate this.

Thai Sawatdee

Mizu

I personally think the CookOut's bbq sandwiches are the best

idk- not a huge burger fan

my fav bar is prob tate's or Finnegan's wake

the best spots downtown (IMO) are Mooney's and Breakfast of Course. I will preemptively tell NCtoDC to shut up about BOC (she is the only person in the world who doesnt like it).

For Thai, the Basil Leaf is pretty good, and on Tuesday night they have $5 sushi.

For Bars, I like the Old Winston Social Club.

+1 on this, it's my absolute favorite. The family that owns it is Malaysian, so that stuff (rather than the boring americanized chinese food) is outstanding.

Thai Swaitidadadeeeededeee or however you spell it.
Best Sushi?
Mizu. The castle roll is zomg so good.
Best BBQ?
Lexington is about a 30 minute drive away. It's worth the drive.
Best Burger?
More research is needed.
Best Bar?
Finnegan's. Especially when they have live music.

Guys, what is the name of that ridiculously awesome pizza place downtown? The one with the garlic knots? I feel like pizza deserves to be on this list too.

I'll be moving down to WS in early August, I'm assuming before the school facilities become available. Does anybody have a recommendation on what gym to join?

I tried Burke Street when I visited Wake and it is not that good. I'm from NY though so I have a higher pizza standard.

Sure. I mean, sushi is probably better when it's from Japan too.

Is there a computer store on campus? Or do students buy their laptops and accessories elsewhere?

There is a bookstore, which might sell computers (not sure though). I think all of the law students bought computers elsewhere. I bought mine at Best Buy. Most things on campus are generally more expensive then if you bought it elsewhere.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm on WIN and it looks like we can register for our classes... I thought we were assigned a 1L section.

You'll be assigned a section for 1L year. It looks like you can register in WIN now and it will before spring semester, but your entire 1L year is scheduled for you.
