It's rare, but it happens. For Legal Methods, word on the street is that there are a few students who fail every year. (They have to retake the exam.) I don't know if anyone ever fails Legal Practice Workshop.

Do you know any students who were accepted in the AILE program? How do their experiences differ/are they happy? Do other students think they're different or do they not know?

Never heard of it. I looked up what it is just now. I don't think this is an identifiable category of law students. By the time they start law school, they are starting the three-year program just like everyone else. It's just that they've completed undergrad in three rather than four years. There are plenty of people at the law school who graduated college in three years (or four years or five years), with or without the AILE program, and people who took four years to finish undergrad but had started college when they were, e.g., 16. That's not something that other students necessarily know, and if they do know I find it hard to believe that it makes any difference whatsoever. People start law school at all sorts of ages, a year earlier or later isn't even noticeable, from the perspective of other students.

Yes, I think even numbers are at the bottom. (Not sure if that's the case throughout the locker spaces, though.)

But guys, really, this is like asking what color your casebooks will have so that you can buy a matching backpack.

Fair enough. On the other hand, I'm one of the shortest people in the law school. If I can manage a top locker anyone can. (I think the top ones start at about 3 feet high. Surely you're taller than 3 ft.?)

Sorry if this was asked earlier, but what are the class sizes? That is, how many people are typically in each class (i.e. Torts)?

In the first semester, everyone has two classes in 'large sections' (about 90 students) and one in 'small sections' (about 30 students). Which one of your classes will be your small section depends on what group you're in. So you might e.g. have Torts in a class of 30 students, and Contracts and Civ Pro in a class of 90. Or Civ Pro with, Contracts and Torts with 90, etc.

Is the problem with Dodge (that's its name, right?) the overcrowdedness or sub-par equipment?

This year 1L class sizes are going to be a little different, I think (based on the # of sections of each class). Fall 1Ls will have Contracts as their small section, with about 40-50 in each class. Civ Pro and Torts will be the other courses, each with about 60-70 in each class. Spring semester, all classes will have about 90-100 in them (except for the elective).
