So, some of you may have seen a thread I posted earlier, but I was curious what some current 1Ls think.

Just got a nomination for Peace Corps in the Caribbean. Attempting to get a 3 year deferral from Cornell. Have no idea if they'll approve it.

Ok, Kingsfield's class is a little extreme. There is nothing that scary here, although 2nd semester civ pro with BHS is close. Also, not everyone has mustaches.

Everything else is pretty much on par, including the complicated love interest with a member of the faculty's daughter.

macs and PCs

macbooks are very popular (one bonus is you can ichat in class despite the lack of wireless)
other popular laptops: hp, thinkpad, dell
very sparse: netbooks

You can barely pick it up in some, like the second-floor classrooms, but trust me, you'll thank the school for the policy once you do catch wireless and not a word the professor says.
