MSL programs just in case anyone cares

Post by jackdanielsga » Tue Sep 11, 2018 5:07 pm

In my thread there was a recommendation that a masters degree may be an alternative to law school.
I'm not sure it's practicable, because considering that GSU is in town for me, the cost of getting a JD there would be sub-$60k at sticker, which is comparable to the MSL programs.
So I've compiled a list of a few that I could find (there are others but this gives a good overview). I didn't bother with the details for those schools with rankings of 100 or higher.

Of particular interest is Ohio Moritz that apparently allows individual classes to be taken as part of non-degree program.

A paste from excel will probably look ugly. So questions are:
1) does anyone care, other than me?
2) if yes, how to de-uglify?

Why can't I edit my own post?

Emory Juris Master
http://law.emory.edu/admission/tuition- ... l-aid.html
18 months online
9+ months on campus full time/ part time

Annual tuition for the JM program is the same as that for the juris doctor program. Students who pursue the JM on a part-time basis will be charged tuition on a per credit-hour basis, in accordance with the number of enrolled credit hours.
JM tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year is $2,354 per credit hour, or $28,250 per semester.

So $56500 at least
