Do people every get denied permission to practice in federal district court?

Post by Derekj032 » Thu Oct 26, 2017 10:01 pm

I had some character and fitness issues in the past, I was ultimately cleared and recently passed the bar. After being sworn into my state bar, I will be submitting my application for the federal district in my state. Upon reviewing the application, it appears I have to disclose any past crimes(misdemeanors from 10 years ago). Has anyone ever heard of an attorney being denied permission to practice in a fed ct?

I haven't heard of that before. Usually if you're in good standing with your state bar(s) they let you in.
