degree revocation question

As an individual who commonly makes mountains out of molehills, I could very well be worrying over nothing, but wanted to get the input of others.

Alright, I have never had a felony, misdemeanor, citation, never been involved in plagiarism, or any means of academic misconduct issue. I have a clear record as far as the university is concerned.

A few years back, I was seeing a counselor at my university regarding some anxiety related issues. She encouraged me to keep a journal of my feelings and I remember on some pages, I would jot down a litany of things that were troubling me. One item being - "did I cheat when I was a freshman when I . . . "

Long story short, in the journal that I brought to class one day, in it, I had my birth certificate and some other documents I was needing that day. I lost the journal with all the contents in it, and it went to the lost and found. Some in the department read it as I could tell by their awkward expressions. I received an email that it was at such and such location if I wanted it back. Never went back to get it for obvious reasons. So have no idea if its still there, or disposed by now.

I keep telling myself the worst is even if they read what I wrote regarding possible cheating, and even though my birth certificate and name were in it - they still cant prove that I wrote that, right? So onto my questions

1). Do you think there's a chance that sometime down the road they could rescind and take back my bachelors degree for cheating or writing about cheating? I know they can revoke for fraud or university error.

2). If you were then enrolled in law school or graduated with a Juris Doctor and in the event your undergraduate degree was revoked, would your law degree be then revoked as well, since you wouldnt have a bachelors?

Sorry, for asking such a trivial question but has been concerning me.

I think you're going to be alright and the only real issue here is going to be the hassle of getting another copy of your birth certificate some time in the future (if you haven't already).

I don't understand the obvious reasons why you didn't pick it up...they already know it's yours, and it has important docs in it. How long ago did you receive this email (based on your question, this could have been recently or three years ago)? If this was over a year ago, then you obviously have nothing to worry about. If this just happened, pick up your journal...otherwise you are abandoning it, and someone is likely to read it. Even if they did, I doubt any repercussions would follow, however.
