Hi,
Tomorrow I am having a medical procedure done. There are only two clinics in the entire state that do this procedure and only one within hundreds of miles from me. My insurance has told me they will reimburse me for the procedure, however, the clinic has told me they will not provide me with a standard medical itemized receipt which is required for insurance reimbursement. I have to pay upfront for this procedure before they do it and it's something I absolutely need (im sure there are a few people who can figure out what it must be) so i don't have a lot of recourse here. Wondering if this is a hippaa violation and if I have any leg to stand on when I try to get this receipt.
Thank you.

Hi,
You can't ask for legal advice here, and no one can give it. Sorry.
