You just convert it too word if you really want to.

You should do your outlines as .one as well though.

Handwriter here, but I'm old and that's the way I've always done it. It also seems to make the class go by faster doing this. Nothing wrong with transcribing, but I also ended up with a ton of useless discussion notes that wouldn't help during an exam.

I suggest do what you are most comfortable with doing. The only problem that you might run into as a transcriber, like others have mentioned, is if your professor does not allow the use of laptops in class.
