What is it like to work as an in house attorney(especially IP)?

Hi I'm EE background and I my practice area will be patent field.

My final goal is to working as an in house patent counsel.

Here's my questions.

1. How much they work in a week, in average?

2. Do they mainly practice only in IP area?
