You can only control your own actions, it's best not to worry about what other people do and focus on whatever you can do to produce the best result on exam-day.

Whoa, Dennis Riordan?! What was it like representing Barry Bonds, and can I have your autograph?whacka wrote:Why would it frustrate you how other people study? As I said I have taken it before, and was even prescribed for a while, and it fucked me up/made studying much worse. I'm just curious about whether people popping pills to study all the time is a frustrating/common occurrence. Sorry if I didn't make that clear in OP.

Re: Do you feel at a disadvantage not abusing adderall?
I got caught up in the hysteria and started to worry the same thing in 1L. I never used it and ended up with very good grades. In fact, I knew most of the top of my class and none of them used adderall. I do know some people who did use it (and didn't have ADD), and for the most part they would use it to do a semester's worth of work in a couple weeks in order to move from the bottom of the class to the middle.
I've never used it, but it seems like adderall would be good to memorize all of the relevant rules in a short amount of time. But at a good school knowing all of the rules will get you a B+. As come from seeing beyond the narrow rules and creatively using precedent to fit square rules into round holes, and it seems like focusing too much on the smaller details would actually make it harder to creatively synthesize an entire area of the law.
Put briefly, I could see adderall being helpful when you know nothing and want a B+. But to get an A, it seems to me it would make it harder.

When I graduated from college 6 years ago study drugs were not even a thing. Neither were smart phones. Neither were tablets.
