Legal aid career

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share any personal experiences of pursuing or attaining work as a legal aid attorney. I am a 0L very interested in this career path, but am trying to gauge how difficult getting a job will be. Would you have any advice for what to do to maximize chances of employment?

I am also trying to get a sense how much importance is placed on graduating from a T-14 in the context of legal aid hiring. Does attending a regional school greatly reduce your chances of finding work/getting a fellowship that may lead to a job?
