No, in fact, my advice to 0L's would be to see if you can pay for all three years up front with fed loans, so you can beat inflation and tuition increases.

you actually only have to make 120 qualifying payments, so you could just start a fake nonprofit, make 120 payments of $0 (because you have no income), and boom -- forgiveness.

People don't really know this, but the annual salary certification is based on an honor system, so all you have to do is send in a signed and notarized statement that you're a poor, every year for 10 years, and you're good to go Scott free.

And this is a win win because there is no downside in choosing to take a high paying fed job like the actual Secretary of the ACLU.

No need to drop out. There's actually no limit to how much money the government will give you. Personally, I have 2 law degrees, 3 masters, two PhD's, and I've never worked a day in my life. And those summer abroads and semesters at sea just too much fun.

What's sad is that the loan servicers are in on it, because more debt you rack up, the bigger their ultimate pay off from the treasury is. (That was an actual serious post, lol).

Are you fucking serious? You can do a million things. You're 25 years old and you have not just a positive net worth but sixty thousand dollars of positive net worth. Find something that interests you and go for it. Hopefully it isn't law.

Oh... you're serious... Well standard TLS wisdom for practicing environmental law would be go to a T6 with money (HYS if you can) and gun like hell for a job with the EPA. However, that being said there is little reason that getting a job as an attorney with the EPA would be easier than getting the policy job with the EPA that you haven't managed to cop yet.
