One of my previous professors would be the legal corespondent for a major network when a certain issue came up. So extrapolating from my knowledge on the subject you have to: go to Yale, become an academic at a respected school that sounds good when they introduce you on TV (this is the hard part, Vanderbilt, BU, and probably any UC school have more lay prestige to the uninformed American public than U Penn State), then dedicate 20-30 years becoming in an expert in a field you predict will be a relevant topic of discussion for some pop culture issue some time around 2040 where you'll be the number 1 go to guy to talk about it.

1) Be very attractive, and preferably a white male
2) Get pubic renown for your expertise in flaw
3) Call up your buds at the networks and ask.

She is the worst. I can't believe she is actually a legal commentator. Her coverage of the trial was horrible.

Follow these steps: (1) Have a good friend from college become a producer. (2) Publish a book (quality immaterial).
