What y'all think? I could use my trust fund as a down payment instead of using it for law school

Hey now, the reason most ppl go to law school is bc they don't have money already. I always say, you gotta make the money to buy the lotto ticket, well if you already have the money, why not buy the lotto? It appears i have moved outside of TLS area of expertise.I guess i'll have to join another forum

You're uncomfortable discussing anything outside of t14, understandable. ANy other ideas, nah entertainment is too dependetn on whims of the public. Raves used to be the thing, now they are a liability.

I sold a couple cars to a guy who owned 2 Chik-Fil-A franchises in good locations and that guy made an irritatingly large amount of money.

How? its a private company. all you have to do is put in a 5000 franchise fee. He was not a franchise owner per se.Plus you have to be a christian. They judge your character and make sure you go to church, Its very strange

I think it's relevant to ask law students this because law school is an investment. would the investment be better served elsewhere, given all this pessimism of law grad prospects. Sinking 300k into a school with a 75% chance of getting biglaw sounds risky too

He had to, he was doing a lease and we had to pull credit. It was a lot, well into the 6 figures.

I just want go to where there is opportunity, if not law, then no big deal. What is MBB, my other plan was going in the army as artillery officer and get out and then M7 MBA. I have a useless degree. Master of business and bankin?

I was joking, though considering you don't seem at all committed to being a lawyer and seem to be really into this businessman thing, an MBA seems like a better idea in a few years. Army sounds absolutely terrible though. Not sure I would do that if I am currently making $75k just by sitting on my ass.

That's not very effective, considering i could hire people to do that and do something else and profit more
