You srs?
Sport coats can be wicked casual, and some students are over 30 (PhD types). In the winter, not suprising at all.
Yeah, it's a casual coat, they are older, and they wear it well. Certainly not something I would attempt.
I live in the Northeast. It's not really surprising to see people my age rocking those desert boots, leather shoes, or sports jackets.

Only wear a suit if you have an interview or court or whatever that day.

Aside from that wear anything else you like, from gym clothes to biz-cas. It's not uncommon to see a table of friends where one girl is in yoga pants and a hoodie, one girl's wearing jeans and a sweater, and one girl's in a nice blouse and skirt. Zero fucks given.

The closer to exams, the more comfy clothes you see.

Oh come on, no body is going to judge you! You just have to be comfortable in whatever you wear; be it a 350$ suit :P
I think lawyers are judged for what they speak rather than what they show and wear..RIGHT?

If you've got a great body then where clothes that show it off, your professors (both male and female) will give you huge bumps in "participation" points.

If you're a fat then you should probably just wear a plastic trash bag.

Flip flops in public

You obviously don't live somewhere where the summers are quite warm.
Heck, I wear flip flops and cargo shorts in the snow. Y'all need thicker skin.
