Houston Patent Attorneys

Post by Kafkaesquire » Tue Oct 22, 2013 6:01 pm

Does anyone have any first-hand knowledge about the likelihood of someone with 3-5 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, with a JD and a BS in Chemical Engineering, breaking into a lucrative patent litigation career in Houston?

I am wondering whether, with these credentials, it would be wise to go to Houston Law in pursuit of the previously mentioned career. If not, given the previous credentials, with what other credentials would going to Houston Law school be a wise career choice?

(I know that oil and gas industries, in general, are not primary markets for many patent attorneys. But, if there was a market for it, I assume that it would be in Houston.)

What about Oklahoma City?

What about oil and gas patent attorneys, in general?

Anything?
