life decision survey, just for fun

Hi, so me and SO have a pretty important life decision to make, and of course what better way to do it than to ask strangers on the internet :D
We are kind of stuck in the decision making process and I like polls, so here it goes.
Given the option of: living in a very rural, pretty sucky area that you know nothing about and where you know nobody, but making ~50 000k more a year (this would be for 1 year only and then we may have the option of going some place else)
OR, staying in a city you already love and are comfortable in (have friends etc), but making ~50 000 less a year. What would you choose?
We are in our late 20's - early 30's, no kids anywhere in the future, have some debt we would like to get rid off
(at this point I think I already answer my own question but what the heck)
Any insights appreciated. I know, 1st world problems...

50k more than what? It makes a big difference if the lower job pays 30k vs. 100k.

Where's the rural place? If it's rural Alabama, fuck that; but if it's rural Indiana, I think you can deal.

This made me tear up laughing. That is all I read on TLS: I won a Nobel Prize, I won the Pulitzer, I fed malnourished children for 6 years, have a 4.0, and got 179 on the LSAT. What are my chances of getting into YHS?

Every answer: Retake, Retake, Retake.

Thanks for making me laugh.
