That's not true. The engineering field is changing before my eyes. There are actually quite a few hot sorority-type girls in the freshman classes now who actually work their butts off and do quite well.

But that's off topic. So do lawyers not marry other lawyers a lot? Or other financially successful and ambitious people?

The whole point of becoming financially successful and being ambitious is to make up for deficiencies in your personality and physical appearance and allow you to find a suitable mate. If you are financially successful and ambitious you should focus on a mate who has an appealing personality and physical appearance. That is the end goal. Law is the means, not the ends.

I mean, obviously someone wouldn't marry anyone that they didn't like. But even if I like a girl, I don't even think about her if she isn't going to make a lot of money. It's like, no future+compatibility=no go. There will always be someone you can be compatible with who also has a bright future and is very ambitious. It can't be that hard to find...

I think in my mechanical engineering classes we have a total of 12 girls, 4 of which are hot sorority types. Which, I guess, are okay odds when you compare them to each other, but if you throw in the number of guys, its pretty ridiculous. There are some, but not plenty by any means

His comment was idiotic, not his ignorance of Eva Mendez. I'll admit, the writing made it seem the latter was true. That's my fault.

But really, I don't have much pop culture knowledge, either. That stuff is for the birds.
