Can anyone who got a top grade send me a sample Appellate Brief?
Basically, my legal writing professor gives the class minimal guidance, so I'd like to have a sample format to compare it with.
Thanks

Re: Appellate Brief
Go look on Westlaw, there are thousands of good briefs. Anything from the solicitor general's office will be phenomenal.

Yeah, or get briefs for current SCOTUS cases off its web page. I think most 1L appellate briefs are supposed to follow SCOTUS format conventions.

Re: Appellate Brief
I would generally recommend against using SG/SCOTUS briefs as your model. Well-written SCOTUS briefs, and particularly SG briefs, are generally written in a very distinct style that is not easily emulated (and when done poorly, can be quite off-putting). Instead, I would recommend looking at well written appellate briefs in the COA. Look for briefs by reputable firms or by DOJ civil appellate.
