Ok, I guess this is my last option. Does anyone have access to crim outlines for Kimberly Ferzan? I like to follow outlines during a course

Median's a little under 3.3, bottom ten percent is under 3.0, top third is in the 3.4s, and top ten percent is somewhere around 3.67. Law Review grade on is about 3.85; Pomeroy is about 3.9.one_by_one wrote:2Ls/3Ls - Out of curiosity, do you know what the 1L media GPA is? and any idea about other cutoff estimations (top 40%, top 33%, etc.)? Thanks!

Depends on the firm. Some firms go off of their calculation of your GPA and don't care about what grades you got to get there. Other firms like to see at least one A on your transcript, even if they're just looking for someone above median and you have a mixture of B's and A-s while someone else has straight B+s.beautyistruth wrote:Given that NYU doesn't officially calculate GPAs, would it be better for 2L OIC, all else equal, to have straight B+s first semester or a smattering of grades that puts your average around a 3.33 isn?
If I recall correctly, it's mostly public interest and government jobs during 1L OCI, so you absolutely should participate.beautyistruth wrote:Also, can anybody offer any words of wisdom regarding 1L OCI? Is it worth participating if you're not grading onto law review? Is it a flame? How can you bid intelligently?
There are a handful of firms (big and small) as well, and I know at least one person who got a job at a firm through 1L OCI. From what I remember very few of the interview schedules fill up (though you should ask OCS to be sure) so there isn't a lot of bidding strategy required.ssteiner wrote:If I recall correctly, it's mostly public interest and government jobs during 1L OCI, so you absolutely should participate.beautyistruth wrote:Also, can anybody offer any words of wisdom regarding 1L OCI? Can anyone corroborate this or provide a source?thsmthcrmnl wrote:Median's a little under 3.3, bottom ten percent is under 3.0, top third is in the 3.4s, and top ten percent is somewhere around 3.67.
