I refuse to believe that either of you is capable of holding down a real job, since you can't even figure out how to use the "quote" function properly.

I'm using an iPhone and yes I hold down a real job just fine ty. And yes, being able to use the quote function perfecrly on am internet forum is a real skill for the workforce  I would bet a lot better than you but I'm assuming there since I don't know you.

And judging by your over 9,000 posts I would assume you are also quite the Internet expert lol here is a job hunt hint for you: no employer will be impressed with those Internet forum abilities

Yea, this is correct from what I understand. They get paid ok but the problem is they don't know how long their "employment" will last and it is a huge dead end job. In smaller firms you have the chance to develop a career over time and, if successful, make substantially more (which is how almost every other job in the economy works). The immediate six figure starting salaries for some students is a real rarity when you compare it to most other industries.
I know. And I would sooner not be a lawyer than do that stuff. But my point was the pay differential (from shitlaw AND, more importantly, starbucks).

Side note: I actually know an attorney who has a decent job at a government agency who did contract doc review before (of course, this person had built up personal connections at the agency while in law school and was able to bide time until a spot opened up.) Yes, this is wholly anecdotal.

RE: The thread generally, it's just unpredictable in general. Outside those who get BigLaw out the gate, there is no definitive answer.

Agree completely. Big law can be pretty predictable. However, outside that it just depends on how well an individual can network and obtain employment outside the schools help.

This I find particularly amusing, in the "you have your head up your ass" sort of way.
