Thanks. Currently in undergrad in semi-rural Minnesota. Not as bad as you might think. Would you choose Iowa for free over UMN at or near sticker?
If I was going to go to law school again, I'd first punch myself in the face and remind myself it is a stupid decision and to work for a few more years and go to MBA school or something instead.

If I still decided to go to law school, I would 100% choose a no-stipulation full-ride scholarship to a near-peer school.
This made me laugh. Maybe I should be punching myself in the face...

Fixed the link.

Tl;dr: Robins Kaplan's named partner Ciresi leaving to start his own firm with 2 other senior partners. Ciresi & Collin will start at 7 lawyers.

I think it's always nice to see people break the (especially biglaw) mold.

Reviving this long dead thread in the hopes that OP is still around. I'd love to hear thoughts on how the legal market in the Twin Cities has changed over the last two years, and how the Hamline/WM merger is impacting the market, particularly biglaw opportunities for UMN students. Is the market less competitive with one less school in town? More so?

And as the national market stablizes, are there more T-14 students competing with for Twin Cities positions, or less? Or have you not noticed a difference?

Thanks for starting this thread; I read it from beginning to end and it's the most useful thing I've found on TLS.

Could anyone who feels comfortable speaking about the pros/cons of working at different firms in Minneapolis PM me? I'm trying to make a decision between a few.
