Lol it's fine. Just try to talk up in class a few times before the final.
I'll be doing that .. scared of that exam more than BA

Pretty sure that all throughout 1L, every time Cliff would email out a zen letter, it would just remind me of everything I didn't want to think about and add more stress. Still have much love for CZ though

If I want to do the basic transactional curricular tour, should I gun for BA next semester (1L)? Or can I wait until 2L?

there's no rush. you're better off gunning an uncurved class since BA is usually curved.

Possibly consider Corporations if it's not curved though.

Right now the enrollment capacity is 50. After the bidding period and during the add/drop period you'll be able to check how many people are actually enrolled in the class on Caesar. If more than 40 students are enrolled then the class will be on a mandatory curve.*

*Someone correct me here: does the mandatory curve kick in at 40 or 41 students enrolled?

Does anyone have an outline for Evidence with Allen, Employment Law with Yuracko, or Corporations with Presser?

The curve kicks in at the 41st student. 40-even is uncurved.

Unless your professor decides to be a dick to a class with 39.

Insights to Contracts II with Kadens? Looks like the enrollment is capped at 24 so I assume that means its uncurved? does this make no sense to be taking as a 1L?

Kadens doesn't strike me as someone who would necessarily be nice with grading in an uncurved class.

And I heard she wasn't necessarily very friendly with grades in her seminars.

Noted. Any other uncurved classes that I should be shooting for?

Law & Rhetoric is pretty forgiving but not sure that is offered 2nd semester. Lupo in general hates giving bad grades in uncurved classes. If DeSanto is doing his speech class again that would probably be a good one to take.

3L in serious 3LOL mode. Seeking suggestions on low-key (no cold calls, minimal reading, class attendance doesn't matter) and/or gentlemen's A- classes in the MTW between 10 and 4 time block.

Any thoughts on: Barsa for Environmental or Hughes for Fourteenth Amendment? No cold calling is key for me.

Barsa doesn't cold call, but he will notice if you don't participate ever. So as long as you talk once in a while, you'd be fine. However, Enviro could be >40.

Also keen to hear about some classes as a 1L:

-Environmental Law (Barsa)
-Legislation (Jacobi)
-Intellectual Property (Pike)
-Estates and Trusts (Schanzenbach)
-Evidence (Tuerkheimer)

I'm still quite torn b/w lit and transactional. I'm not patent bar eligible, but I've heard the IP class can be a bit more for general knowledge. Any thoughts would be great, as well as maybe which of these would look like "fluff" classes to OCI employers (so that perhaps I should avoid going with 2 of those).

Back to CLR...and the bottle.

Everyone loves Barsa, and Enviro is an interesting class.
Tuerkheimer is new so nobody's taken Evidence with her at NU yet. I'm in her FemJur class right now and I like her, although obviously the classes are going to be completely different.

I only need 10 credits and all my requirements will be done after this term. Thoughts on taking First Amend plus both continuing my clinic (crim def) and taking Barsa & Dana's Environmental Appellate Advocacy Workshop? The workshop sounds basically like another clinic (requiring "participation in class, weekly meetings with the instructors, and meetings with clients) and the final brief. The briefs will be complex, and students will be expected to spend 12-15 hours per week, outside of class, working on them.") I'm wondering if two clinic-like classes is too much.

It would work out to be 3 afternoon/evening classes. Weird-ass schedule.

He gave me a pair of A's and I never participated and rarely went to class.

Any thoughts on which of these 1L classes are most likely to be easy/uncurved. Specifically, is Economic Analysis of the Law too difficult/stacked with old econ majors?

American Legal History (3 credits) (Presser)
Business Associations (Litvak)
Business Associations (Lutz)
Corporations (O’Hara)
Economic Analysis of the Law (Friedman)
Environmental Law (Barsa)
Estates and Trusts (Schanzenbach)
Family Law (Yuracko)
First Amendment (DeSanto)
Intellectual Property (Pike)
International Law (D’Amato)
Jurisprudence (Kleinfeld)
Labor Law (Crystal)
Law and Social Change (Rubinowitz)
Legislation (Jacobi)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
