Who's taken Hilliker for Legal Ethics? Participation counting as 40% of the final grade and being partially determined by fellow students sounds like a bad combo.Don Hilliker wrote:Every student is expected to participate in class discussions and in the group work assigned during the course of the semester. Each student will be asked to evaluate her or his class participation, including attendance, over the course of the semester and to provide input on the participation of other members of the class.
It's dry, even for ethics, and an easy way to get a B+.zozin wrote:Who's taken Hilliker for Legal Ethics? I think the mandatory 1L classes are curved, regardless.iworkforlsac wrote:Transfer student here who didn't take Con law during 1L so now I have to take it at NU. I noticed our class had less than 40 people- which must mean this class is uncurved, correct?

When it comes to Nzelibe, you're going to need it. I prefer to not need time after class to understand the material discussed during class.onionz wrote:
Re Nzelibe, I mostly agree with the above and will add he's great 1 on 1 and will spend a lot of time after class trying to explain things if you need it.

I believe if you go onto the bookstore website (google NU Law Bookstore or something), it'll let you input which classes you have. From there you can see the required and recommended books and then compare prices from there to Amazon, etc.lhanvt13 wrote:where do I find what textbooks I need for each class? is there a consolidated database?

it's never important as long as you know which cases are being covered.lhanvt13 wrote:How important is it to get the most current editions for: Remedies, Patent law, Con law, BA?
If you have BA with Silver, she likes to use the casebook's practice problems, so you should probably have access to a copy of the current edition.Georgia Avenue wrote:it's never important as long as you know which cases are being covered.lhanvt13 wrote:How important is it to get the most current editions for: Remedies, Patent law, Con law, BA?
