Well no chance of honors or any of that stuff now. Now I can officially give 0 fucks. Actually -1 fuck probably, since I already pretty much gave 0.
You a 1L or 2L?
Thought he was a rising 3L. Not sure what honors were still in play at this point. I already gave 0 fucks after 1L year.
Graduation honors bro, and yeah, no big deal hence the -1 fuck given.

Feeling the pressure to actually work to keep the $160k?
I can't tell if you were showing nerves about the post grad market or being a snarky cunt.

Does NU roundup for honors? Is a 3.848 a 3.85?

I have no idea what this person was trying to say. Also not sure when I became a biglaw associate or how I was complaining about having "to actually work," since I said I love my job...

I've heard from a few classmates that write-on participation was low...how low and how do we know this for sure? I'm out of the loop apparently and bored.

From 1L/rising 2L classmates? If so I think it would be pretty easy to get that impression from just a couple of individuals loudly stating that they're not doing write-on. I wouldn't put a ton of stock in it. If it's true though, you'll find out soon enough anyway when new journal members get announced.

I know how many write-ons my journal board has to grade, and I assume that does not include however many people didn't list our journal as one of their ranked preferences. The 1L class was something like 225 people, right? Participation is well over 50% at least. Could be as much as 2/3.

Speaking of which, I should really get started on reading those.

Did anybody else get screwed by Jurisprudence with D'Amato? He gave me a B ... I thought he was supposed to be a really easy grader and this was an uncurved class. He told us not to even study for the final.

Ouch, that is terrible. Hope you aren't a 1L?

Never trust "He's an easy grader." ESPECIALLY from gunners. It's mostly a way to humble brag about getting an A.

I'm not a 1L, so thankfully this won't mess up OCI for me. But I don't like getting a shit grade I didn't deserve. I emailed him about it and he told me that if it had been a curved class he would have given me a C (which doesn't even make any sense since Cs aren't part of the curve).

And I heard he's an easy grader from a lot of people who definitely were not gunners and said this was the best grade they've gotten/their first A+ ... And this is by far the worst grade I've gotten in law school, including in curved classes.

If a B is "by far" the worst grade you've got, relax. Also, people who you refer to as "not gunners" might in fact be gunners.

I still want to know how missing school means I'm bitching about having to "actually work" for my 160k (which I am absolutely not making).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
