Do Denver firms typically show up to OCi?

I think a small number do, but that's a perfect example of when to mass mail.

How many students do the Journals generally take? Just doing the math, if they all take 36 like Law Review then even if 100% of the 174 1Ls (assuming AJDs and JD/MBAs don't do Journals) complete the writing competition there will not be enough to fill all the slots...seems like then some Journals which have not been much work in the past might be a bit more this year due to less people. What do you guys think?

There's maybe like two national firms that have Denver offices.

Transfers will help fill it up. AJDs do journals too.

You are right that not everyone will do the competition but I think some journals have fewer people than law review. That said, the workload may go up a bit, but you won't have anything to compare it to and if you planned on doing a journal before then I don't think this should change your plans.

Employers in Chicago may know the difference, interviewers with NU ties (not an insignificant number) will know the difference, the degree to which they care will vary. I had 1 interviewer specifically comment how my secondary was better than some but not as good as others.

Given that the bulk of OCI interviewers are in fact NU alums, it can make a difference, especially if they were on the same journal when they were here. But pick a secondary that fits in with your interests and overall narrative IMO.

Secondary journal prestige is a myth perpetrated by butthurt JCLC members.

Realistically, employers don't care and judges don't know the difference.

There is no difference. The idea that everyone is bidding JCLC #2 is false. There isn't some hierarchy of fail that results on you getting on JILB or JIHR or whatever. The people on those journals overwhelmingly picked that second.

Not in terms of competitiveness for getting on the journal, but there is a difference in the work you do when you are on it.

I heard somebody got asked why they weren't on JCLC once. The interviewer walked out of the room when the student answered that they were really interested in IP and so they chose JTIP.

That's some unprofessional, retarded bullshit and shouldn't be seen as the norm, I would hope.

This is a total fluke. I have never heard of this happening.

THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE RELATIVE "PRESTIGE" OF NON-NULR JOURNALS ARE NU ALUMS. THE VAST MAJORITY OF YOUR INTERVIEWERS WILL NOT BE NU ALUMS.

I head that they went to career services and got the student banned from all V50 and above interviews.

What's the deal with this "Student Space" company that admissions keeps pushing on the admitted students? Is it good? Bad?

False. You know full well the true extent of JCLCs prestige.

And for the record, most of my big Chicago firm interviews were with alums.
