Do you guys remember how late they took people off the WL over the past few years? I'm attending in the Fall but my friend is on the WL so I'm trying to find out for her.

You can hang on until orientation.

Ok I'll let her know, thanks. But any idea on the rough number of people let in between July and orientation?

Can't say, but probably low single digits. Realistically, it's definitely not something you should count on.

Ok, that's what I figured as well. Appreciate your help.

I just got really sad about the fact that I'm not going back to school in the fall. Can I un-graduate?

How in the holy hell can it take more than a week to get the dean's signature on a 711 application? Why is our administration so bad?

You're asking this of a dude who wears sweatpants to work.

The sweatpants don't totally bother me, but let's be real. The man has a secretary who, a year and a half in to working at our school, STILL can't imbed the school's logo in an email. Not exactly a model of efficiency.

How difficult are apartments to sublease? I'm going to be living in Onterie and was trying to decide between a 12-month and 15-month lease. The 15-month will save money, but idk if it's worth it. Also, both will go through the summer so I guess I'll need to sublease it if I end up not working in Chicago (ideally would like to work in SF). I'm assuming it's not too difficult to sublease given the location, but any insight would be appreciated.

In the summer, it was actually really easy.

I really enjoy the spam from the bookstore telling me to buy textbooks when the school hasn't even given us course listings to look over.

Don't worry, you can enjoy the mid-OCI distraction of bidding for classes in August, huzzah!

Oh good! I certainly wouldn't want to worry about bidding classes now when I'm only mildly busy; definitely not in, you know, June when I had nothing on my plate.

Dug through my email. Cliff sent out the "calls are about to go out" email on July 10th. He sent the complete journal announcement email on July 31st.

It's not like they're busy releasing the class schedules or anything.
