I got confused for a nu to u of c transfer on an interview once. Interviewer said, so it says here you are transferring for the academic challenge.

And yet that dude probably interviewed for admission at NU and was passable. That backs up my belief that the admission interview means nothing other than you are willing to make the time to interview and thus are slightly more likely to matriculate.

1. A single person not being in the office or leaving should not stop a major institution from releasing grades entered via scantron sheets (at least not since about 1976)

2. Has anyone called? Im starting to get the feeling that this grade withholding is meant to make it more difficult for borderline transfer students waiting to see their spring grades.

Northwestern definitely gave scholarships to stay last summer. It is TTT as fuck. If it happens again, I'm going to send a ranty list serve about it.

Really? Wow. That's really, really messed up. Do you know if top students were contacted proactively by the administration, or only those that threatened to transfer?

From my understanding, it was people that were accepted as transfers at higher ranked schools that went to the school and asked for a scholarship. I don't think they just randomly threw money at top students.

Since I'm such a whiny bitch about it, I do want to give a shout-out (is that still what we say?) to the law librarians. I don't care if they are good at other universities. Ours are fantastic in my experience. They make my life so much easier, and they all do it with a smile and kindness.

Did this source offer an approximate time? Having received grades from NU on 7 occasions before (including summer and intersession), the earliest that I can remember grades coming out was approximately 3pm.

I have it from a good source that Ex-Dean Van Zandt returned to campus in full mascot regalia and stole all the exams, replacing them with buy 1 year of AJD and get the second one free coupons. And then Zim stole those and replaced them with certificates for free chair massages.

Looks like they are starting with the 1L core classes (because it's not alphabetical). I seems like I kept hitting refresh last semester for nearly an hour waiting for some advanced tax course grades to pop-up. Then again, LLMs are not real people anyways.
