Anyone have outlines for Schanzenbach's BA class? I have access to multiple outline banks and can do some quid pro quo.

Has anyone taken a class with Tonja Jacobi? I'm thinking about taking contemporary supreme court cases with her for something chill and fun.

Anyone have Wendy Muchman for legal ethics? I've heard Mary Foster is good but there is a different class I want to take at that time.

I took their co-taught legal ethics in business course. Both professors are great and I would imagine that the classes are identical in content.

100% take. But try to take global ethics with Muchman and Foster. You won't regret it.

Ended up getting Muchman!

Last course question for this semester: should I drop contract drafting for local government practice? I am going to summer in bankruptcy and real estate. I am currently enrolled in bankruptcy and secured with markell, and I have heard those are challenging classes so I am trying to take some easier stuff. Local gov practice sounds super interesting and relevant for real estate. However, I don't know how important it is to take contract drafting before summering. Thoughts? For what it's worth, I have done some contract work at my internship but nothing super extensive.

Any advice on how to best approach Markell classes? I'm taking secured and bankruptcy at the same time, have heard this is not necessarily wise.

Any advice on good clinics to take? I'm open minded on subject matter and I want a good experience but I do not necessarily want to work a lot....

I am a lawyer in India, having attended one of the top law schools in the country. The most alluring thing about NW to me is the option given to foreign lawyers to get a JD in two years. While the NW website says that it's the same degree, with no differences, I wanted to know if that is the case practically as well.

Are there any specific disadvantages faced by students who pursue the two year JD? Both in law school, and in terms of graduation outcomes? And if so, can that be compensated for by the fact that I have two years of experience working at a top tier law firm in India?

Since the new grading policy was implemented a year or two ago, all 1L electives are curved. The references in this thread to “uncurved electives” are from before the change. A 1L elective might be uncurved if it is below the 13-person minimum but, otherwise, it will be curved.

Read all of Redish's articles - his opinions on Civil Procedure are more important than the black letter law in that class tbh.
I don't know if Shoked still does this, but in the past it was a closed book exam/no outlines, so getting a head starting on memorization and retaining the material is a good idea. He wants you to apply the law though, not just spit out the elements of adverse possession.
Lupo is pretty straight forward, practice with a lot of hypos
