Think bk187 is referring to classes where you're going to be curved with people who are gunning for federal clerkships (in addition to the two he mentioned, CivPro 2, Evidence, Federal Courts, etc.). Are these also sometimes referred to as "bar" classes?

This. People gunning for clerkships tend to take more difficult classes (as well as already be towards the top of the curve). They are less likely to take fluff classes. That said, you can get almost any class uncurved if you really want (even the aforementioned ones like FedJur/Admin/etc). You might have to take it with the crappy prof, but that's the tradeoff you make.

Can you recommend some "fluff" classes or "fluff" prof's? Thanks.

almost all of it. if the choice is between horwich or some other guy, take the other guy. horwich will dip below the curve and give out C's just because he can.

Is there a description of what a case note is/what it's supposed to cover/how it's supposed to be structured somewhere in the packet? Is this something I can google before I open the packet, or would that violate the honor code?

Hopefully I'm not inadvertently violating the honor code by this reply (not that it really matters to me any more) but a case note is just a journal article that focuses in depth on one case, it's place in the relevant law, and so on and so forth.

I never said Horwich was bad, and honestly I made the mistake of taking SecReg while doing call backs so I ended up missing the first two weeks of class and I never really fully recivered from that. The reason I say not to take it is it's 4 credits, a shitload of material, and if curved you really can't be sure how you are going to do so a 4 credit B or B- can really impact you. If you are going into transactional work it may be helpful, but you could probably just read a hornbook and learn everything else you need to know on the job.

When it came out that our property prof. gave out a couple C+ grades people were horrified, a D is really inexcusable unless they wrote like nothing on the exam.

Horwich has also been known to deduct points for wrong answers/info written down in order to prevent word vomit on the page.
