So do I have to cancel a waitlist before Round 2 bidding closes to get the points back, or not?
You should email the administration and tell us the answer as I am also curious.
Just emailed.

right? I bid like 550 and was #12 on the WL. No way half the class drops.

Also, if 5 people pick up IP I will murder them all.

The response:
Email from Barbara Reiffman wrote:Immediately after we process Round 2 bidding, there will be a 2-day period for Last Chance cancellation of successful bids or wait list results. This period gives you the opportunity to recapture points expended for classes or wait list positions for use in the Spring. The Last Chance period ends the Northwestern Law bidding system for the Fall. The results will then be moved from the bidding system to the Enrollment page in CAESAR. Thereafter, points no longer matter and all points spent may not be recaptured.

The investor protection clinic was one of the unique aspects of NU that really caught my interest when deciding where to attend. Can I get in touch with you later this semester to get your thoughts on it?

Is the US Supreme Court class just for clerkship gunners, or is it a nice fluffy history class?

It sounds like a completely worthless class so what do you think?

That was my initial impression, but I am not up on what the clerkship kids are doing these days.

NU changed the 1L class assignments slightly, so there are a few different profs now. If you guys could check out the updated outline exchange guide and fill it out for the new profs, we would appreciate it.

thanks again

Nah, I think they just had him focusing on the upper level classes and his administrative duties. By all accounts, he is one of the better 1L professors you can have.

Is there any strong argument against renting casebooks? I don't highlight as I read so that shouldn't be an issue, and it seems like the savings from renting from the bookstore are way more significant than ordering from amazon (which isn't any cheaper at all in many instances)

I rented a couple last year, and had no problems. Check half.com (owned by eBay) for rentals too, some of them are really cheap.

So if someone wants to do senior research when would they need to lock down a professor?

Inside joke that Nzelibe loved to make Charlie Trotter's references.
