I went early on, but A10 was terrible. Supposedly it's improved. Promontory >>>>>>>>>> A10.beepboopbeep wrote:Promontory >>> A10

I made the mistake of getting delivery from them once. It wasn't great, but I don't think you should expect that kind of food to hold up well for delivery. Everything I've heard from people who've been to the actual restaurant was positive.meyer5541 wrote:Anyone been to yusho yet? The rule with market price is always: if you have to ask / care about what the answer is, you probably don't want to pay that much. Assuming you're paying for it yourself.TheUnicornHunter wrote:I had a steak at A10 that was p. good, but it was listed at "market price" on the menu and then came back at $45. It's on me for ordering without asking, but fuck, that was a good $15 over anything else on the menu.
I'm not a fan.meyer5541 wrote:Anyone been to yusho yet? Just got the loaded fries with a friend but they were good and the menu looked solid
Cool; looking forward to trying it too.WheninLaw wrote:I went early on, but A10 was terrible. Supposedly it's improved. Promontory >>>>>>>>>> A10.beepboopbeep wrote:Promontory >>> A10

Honestly, I'm only in Chicago for the food.
It IS pretty terrible for food, no lie. The loop isn't exactly difficult to get to on the weekend though, so I'm still pretty happy.WheninLaw wrote:Then GTFO out of HP as often as possible.zhenders wrote:Cool; looking forward to trying it too.WheninLaw wrote:I went early on, but A10 was terrible. I don't think anyone rides the Green/Red lines to get to the city. The typical way people get up to the city would be either on a CTA bus (I can't remember the bus number) or on the Metra. Or if you are with a bunch of people, say to get to/from bar review, the easiest thing is just to split a cab/uber.sandwhich wrote:Is the easiest way to get from east Hyde Park (Shoreland, Regents) to the city a bus like the 15 to the green/red line? Or is an uber to the train station quicker/easier than a bus?
What about coming back late at night? Is one safer than the other? I can google how late they run if you don't know off the top of your headskers wrote:Metra's probably the way to go if you're commuting regularly, but otherwise the 6 is def the way to go.
Take the bus up and take an uber back. It's really the most convenient way.sandwhich wrote:What about coming back late at night? Is one safer than the other? Literally never used the metra honestly b/c the schedule isn't that convenient and I'd rather just use everything through CTA. 99% sure the 6 runs later though.sandwhich wrote:What about coming back late at night? Yeah I think I know what you mean. I visited last week and just being able to use my Ventra card for everything was so convenientskers wrote:Literally never used the metra honestly b/c the schedule isn't that convenient and I'd rather just use everything through CTA. 99% sure the 6 runs later though.sandwhich wrote:What about coming back late at night? Just be smart. Take the bus rather than the L back to Hyde Park. Take an uber if it's late.Wahrheit wrote:I think most public transit runs until about 2AM - that was when Google shouted at me that I would need to leave on the 4th of July.
Regardless, there appear to be lots of ways to get home from just about anywhere, and Google's public transit mapping is awesome. I've been using it to get around a lot.
Ventra cards are also fantastic, I picked one up since the UPASS thing won't be good until we get our IDs anyway.
