I just want to point out WTF is up with my hometown of St. Louis and Milwaukee. Why are we these islands of soda? Maybe it's a beer city thing?

People are all over, I'd say a pretty good-sized crew in South Loop, and then Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wicker Park, Wrigleyville....

I don't expect to be anywhere close to what you would need, but does anyone have any idea of what GPA is normally required to grade-on to law review (18 spots, so about top 9%)?

In the past it's been 19 students which is about the top 10% of the class. Our class is slightly larger and the board for next year has not yet decided (or at least announced a decision) about the break down for our class. (I think the board has some discretion about how many students to let on for grades or writing competition.)

I have heard that the top 10% cutoff after 1L falls somewhere between a 179.5-180. This is just what I've been told by 2 and 3Ls, though.

Okay so I know this is pretty early to be thinking about budgeting and whatnot, but I'm trying to figure out how much I need to save up this summer.

Do you guys think the Chicago budget is generally pretty good? Like, transportation is listed at around $200 a month? How much do you think is typical to spend on food/month?

How much would transportation cost if the U Pass thing passes? Would that start next year if it passes?

No, we do not.


As for the questions about cost, I've found that I have waaaay too much loan money. I returned probably ~$5000. I'd guesstimate that their estimates are a bit high.
