Thanks.

CP is "course packet". Your prof will likely give it out in class, or make it available to print from your class's mylaw page.

As for back issue of the course book, I personally wouldn't fuck with that first year. It is stressful enough without having to figure out every single day if you are reading to correct cases or look up the entire case online if it isn't in the book, or flip around pages when your classmate or prof references a page. Maybe second semester first year, but for first semester while you are still learning the ropes you don't want to be missing cases and have outdated notes after each case.

I especially wouldn't use torts back issue if you have Tamanaha, but that is just me.

Yeah, I agree with this too. You are investing upwards of $200k to go to law school, why not just put the extra $1-2k to be on the same page (pun intended) as your peers. However, second semester I let up a lot on how intently I read, mostly because I felt I "got" law school better, and even did slightly better second semester.

Probably the safer move. Definitely get your books online though, and when you are selling them back sell them online too. The Library will rip you off. I got $200 for one of my books online when the library was only offering me $20.

Konig went with a program where the casebook people allow you to select what goes in a casebook, from a variety of different casebooks that they have, and any cases you want. So it's essentially a custom casebook that Konig pieced together - if I recall correctly, it is also supposed to be cheaper than a standard casebook, but obviously it has no resale value.

very credited, at least in my opinion...she's extremely knowledgeable about health law, and unlike most new teachers, she already has a great classroom presence. She does kind of make you feel like an idiot if you're really off, but overall one of the better profs I've had. Exam was 2 issue spotters and some short answer.

He's a wonderful person. But... and I know I'm risking outing myself when I say this... 1L property with him was rough. I don't blame him; he doesn't have a JD and it was his very first time teaching the course. Maybe the school needs to do something to better prepare someone for teaching a 1L course for the very first time.

Of all six substantive courses, property was my worst mark by a wide margin. I didn't even do horribly in the course; just a shade above median, but still.

Then again, some folks did well in his course. Establishing a good relationship with him seems to go a long way.

Just looked at my account (due to funds getting a little tight)...last year, check was issued on the 22nd, year before it was the 25th.

No. 1) you won't ever use it, and 2) it's available on Westlaw classic if you get the urge.

Not Bloomberg. No one uses Bloomberg because it doesn't have all of the cases and B-cite is far inferior to Shepards and Key Cite. Lexis and West are pretty equally used in employment and are pretty comparable. Most students use West, but Lexis points are pretty much the best thing ever.

^^^ Lexis Rep

Most people use Westlaw because it's better.

Ok, the first part is true, but I was relatively impartial!

And Lexis points => free stuff. Westlaw is stingy with points.
