I doubt she had much effect on professors actually getting grades in, though. It did seem that distributions took way longer last semester though (if I remember correctly, they didn't go up until all, or almost all, grades were in), and I suppose it's possible that grades took longer to input as well.Outis Onoma wrote:Colleen Erker is gone, too. and they didn't post the JD percentiles at all on the website. I wonder if it was embarrassment over that 3.76 3L Dean's list cut off.

And thanks! More and more relying on them giving me an offer now since I'm not at all confident about the other two doctrinals.

Do we get to use Lexis for commercial purposes this summer? I can find other schools announcing that that is the case, but nothing from WUSTL.

I believe it's against Lexis's corporate policies to use Lexis if you are working at a lawfirm or private entitybulinus wrote:Do we get to use Lexis for commercial purposes this summer? I can find other schools announcing that that is the case, but nothing from WUSTL.

Nah, Lexis actually encourages it. Most firms don't want you to use your school account though.goldeneye wrote:I believe it's against Lexis's corporate policies to use Lexis if you are working at a lawfirm or private entitybulinus wrote:Do we get to use Lexis for commercial purposes this summer? Do many people live downtown? I've heard CWE is the social hub for students, but I imagine it's still possible to maintain a social life living downtown, right?

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
Very few people live downtown. You could metro to the CWE and the loop when stuff was going on, so you could do it and maintain a social life. You shouldn't live downtown though. Wash Ave isn't any better than the CWE or the loop, and outside of Wash Ave the rest of downtown is either boring or boring and dangerous.RareExports wrote:Do many people live downtown? TBH, even Wash Ave itself is dangerous compared to the CWE or the Loop.

I'm having trouble finding newer apartments in CWE for my price range, which is a chief reason (among other important ones) for why I am looking primarily downtown. If anyone has any good recommendations for relatively new 1 BRs in CWE for under $950 or so, let me know!

Are you looking at Craigslist or what? Maybe it's just because I'd never look at a new building but under $950 is pretty doable anywhere in St. Louis. Most neighborhoods that would be practically criminal.RareExports wrote:I'm having trouble finding newer apartments in CWE for my price range, which is a chief reason (among other important ones) for why I am looking primarily downtown. Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
This is easily doable in the CWE, but no necessarily in the newest or nicest buildings. If you're looking for a new, updated, luxury apt you won't find it in the CWE for that price. But you can find a perfectly nice place for that or less. I'm sure that from the internet the luxury lofts downtown look a lot more appealing than the carpet, linoleum, and window units you get in the CWE for the same price. Trust me, it's worth downgrading a little to live in the CWE.RareExports wrote:I'm having trouble finding newer apartments in CWE for my price range, which is a chief reason (among other important ones) for why I am looking primarily downtown. The older units in the CWE are perfectly nice.

If you don't want to pay the money to live in CWE, just go to the U City area.RareExports wrote:I'm having trouble finding newer apartments in CWE for my price range, which is a chief reason (among other important ones) for why I am looking primarily downtown. Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
I don't know of anyone who lives downtown. I know of one person who lives in Midtown (near SLU), and a couple others that live on Wash Ave, but that's about it. Wash Ave has some nice apartments, but I don't know how much they cost. Like someone mentioned, Wash Ave is nice enough, but you don't have to go far in any direction before it gets not so nice. Also, living there you would definitely need a car. Bar review is in that area a couple times, so you would be popular on those nights, but otherwise it would be a hassle. You would need a cab or something if you went to bar review or otherwise went out in another area.RareExports wrote:Do many people live downtown?
